Opt out of arbitration

The Jumavo Member Terms of Service (§18) and Provider Participation Agreement (§14) include a mandatory arbitration clause with a 30-day opt-out window. The Business Associate Agreement does not include an arbitration clause. You have 30 days from the date you first accepted the agreement to opt out. If you timely opt out, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, instead of through JAMS arbitration.

How to opt out

  1. Send a written opt-out notice by email to legal@getjuma.com.
  2. For the Member Terms, include your name, the email address associated with your Jumavo account, the date you first accepted the Terms, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration provision.
  3. For the Provider Participation Agreement, include the provider name, the Effective Date, and a clear statement of intent to opt out.
  4. Send within 30 days of accepting the agreement.

What this changes

Opting out waives only the arbitration and class-action waiver provisions of Section 18 of the Member Terms (or Section 14 of the Provider Participation Agreement). Every other term of your signed agreement remains in effect.
